Why is applying eye makeup while driving NOT illegal?

I'm sure it is illegal. Same reason why talking on a cell phone should be illegal.Why is applying eye makeup while driving NOT illegal?
Maybe it's just one of those things that is felt to be obvious, like don't drive while shaving or doing your nails.


But I think I know what you're getting at--the cell phone law is stupid for two reasons: most of these people are probably lousy drivers with or without a cell phone in their hand, and second, it's no different than drinking a cup of coffee while driving or, yes, even putting on makeup, but so far we don't have laws specifically prohibiting these things.


There are probably laws on the books about the safe operation of a motor vehicle, and that would cover any idiotic unsafe behavior, I guess.

There is a law just about everywhere that you must drive with proper care and attention. You usually only see a law passed on something specific when there is debate over whether you can drive and do that activity at the same time--so some places make it clear that you can't drive and talk on the phone. With obviously distracting things like using one hand to put something on your face while you are looking at yourself in a mirror, you don't need a law.
I wish people would take driving more seriously. Accidents happen a lot when people start taking their eyes off the road due to various distractions. Texting on a cell phone, shaving, putting on makeup, you name it I've seen it.
I'm sure it is, if you haven't heard any warnings it's probably in teh same way you haven't heard that you should be cutting your toenails whjile driving, or GHDing your hair.
The same reason why I look over and see men shaving while driving to work, lol. These life and times, gotta go, go, go, rush, rush, rush, multi-tasking at it's worst.

Because if we outlawed stupidity, 90% of the population would be incarcerated.
Where I'm from you can get ticketed for it.
