Apply thin liquid foundation across the face.

Apply a lighter foundation or concealer below the eyes, beside the nose and on any dark spots.

Take a large blush brush and sweep loose powder evenly across the face, ensuring that the foundation sets.

Take a bronzer that is roughly two shades darker than your natural skin tone and brush from the apples of your cheeks back to your hairline at your ear, and even it out. Then brush some down from the apple of your cheeks to your smile lines above your lips, and along your nose.

Follow up the bronzer with a light blush in the same general areas or where else needed.

Take a eyeshadow foundation - generally a pinkish beige liquid applied like lip gloss - and dap some on your eyelids. Rub in until the color is smooth.

Apply several layers of gradated eyeshadow, beginning with the lightest along the brow bone and eyelid, then just the eyelid, then just the crease of the eye. The darkest eyeshadow should be applied at the outer corners of the eyes.

Apply brown or black liquid eyeliner below the upper lid, but not above.

Apply a lighter, more velvety eyeliner above the eyelid with a thin brush. Something like Laura Mercier caviar eyeliner is highly recommended (http://www.lauramercier.com/products/col鈥?/a>

Apply a brown or black mascara to the top and bottom lashes in a single coat. Continue and apply a second coat of mascara to the outer top lashes for drama.

Choose a natural lip color or blend of glosses to the lips. Avoid too-bright pinks and magentas, and use red only when suited to the occasion.
apply concealer with those sponges.. it gets it on better and looks air brushed
