How do i apply makeup to make my nose smaller?

My nose is like the nose of many chinese people. (sorry not to be streotipical but it the easiest way to describe it), i want to make it seem taller and a little smaller from the sides.How do i apply makeup to make my nose smaller?
You want to do what is called contouring. Basically you make a line down each side of your nose with a foundation or powder two shades darker than your normal color. The darker color makes the area appear recessed. You then add a lighter color down the middle of the nose, as that will bring it forward. it can be hard to play with, I recommend going to a MAC counter, they have a new line out called Shape and Sculpt (I think) and can sell you a darker and lighter color in one compact. They will also make sure it is the right color for you.

hmm, im not sure how to make it appear taller, but to make it appear smaller from the sides, put a light colored cover up, lighter than your skin tone, from the bridge of your nose, to the tip, (smudged in of course) and then put a darker cover up, maybe a little darker than the first, and smudge it starting at the other cover up lines, right to the edges of your nose.
You can't really make it look smaller, just draw attention away from it. Try something like the smoky eye that is completely drawing attention to your eyes, not your nose.
