What is the step-by-step process of applying makeup? (simple yet detailed)?

i mean what comes first and what ypes of makeup are involved. im so a beginner. i just dab powder on my face and i know it's not enough for a party. What is the step-by-step process of applying makeup? (simple yet detailed)?
Well just to let ya know if u have any questions about makeup or style just ask me because i am a makeup artist/style consultant.

First:

Make sure u pick the right one for your skin type oily, normal, combination, etc

Second:

First make sure u have the right color that blends in with your skin color, so u wont look to wild or anything.

make sure u have clean brushes, and make sure u clean you face with a facial mask or facial wash so that everything is clean and fresh, dont forget to mosisturize.

Third: Is get ready to apply here it is.

1. Apply a concealer that is one shade lighter than your foundation. Dot it on over any blemishes or under-eye circles and blend with your fingertips or a makeup sponge. If your concealer tends to cake, apply eye cream first.

2. Choose foundation that matches your skin tone exactly. Apply it in dots over the central part of your face, then blend it out with a makeup sponge or your fingertips until it covers your entire face (see Related eHows).

3. Use a loose or pressed powder to keep foundation and concealer on longer. Use pressed powder to touch up when you're away from home.

4. Do your eyebrows next. Use powdered eyebrow shadow on brows instead of pencil, which can often look unnatural. Apply it with a hard, slanted brush.

5. Choose three colors of eye shadow: light, medium and dark. Use the dark only to line your upper eyelid, in a fairly thin line along the upper lashes. Use the medium shade for the crease and the lightest shade for the area under the eyebrow. There are many variations on eye shadow application techniques (see Related eHows).

6. Apply eyeliner. Use a cake eyeliner with a damp, thin liner brush, or an eyeliner pencil, and line the lower lid below the lashes. Line only the outer two-thirds of the lower lid, or all the way across if you're trying to achieve a darker look. Line all the way across the upper lid (just above the lash line and as close to the lashes as possible), or start the line where your lashes begin.

7. Apply mascara to upper and lower lashes, in two thin coats to avoid clumpiness. Choose brown mascara if your coloring is fair; black or brown-black works well for darker coloring. Or try a colored mascara such as navy or plum for fun, but don't go too bright if you want to be taken seriously.

8. Smile to find the apples of your cheeks, and apply blush to the apples or below, whichever you prefer. If you have to blend in blush, it's too bright.

9. Choose a lipstick color that's suited to your skin tone and that's perfect for your day look. You can mix colors and textures to suit your moods and your outfits.

10. Line lips after applying lipstick, not before. That way you won't end up with a dark circle of lip liner after your lipstick has worn off. Avoid combining very dark lip liner and pale lipstick.

Other Tips:

Choose brighter or darker tones for a stronger look.

Clean makeup brushes by gently washing them in warm water and mild gel shampoo. Air-dry them overnight.

Don't skimp on makeup tools. High-quality tools make application easier and faster.

If you decide to curl your eyelashes, do this just before applying mascara'never after. Insert your eyelashes into the curler, squeeze just once, and hold for a few seconds.

When you are done for the night make sure you take the make up off COMPLETELY. If u leave it on it can leave to bacteria,, so that is why it is very wise to take it off before you go to sleep.

When you do use make up remover, and then cleanse the face, and use like a face wash, and then you mositurize.

I hope that helps. What is the step-by-step process of applying makeup? (simple yet detailed)?
This is strange that a guy is asking this.. but here you go.

Step 1-- Foundation. Dot on your foundation in the necessary areas. You don't need it to cover your entire face. Blend in with a moist makeup sponge. Make sure your foundation blends in well and matches your skintone adequately.

Step 2-- Powder. Smooth on a light, sheer layer of powder over your entire face. It is also a good idea to follow with a powder brush in order to give the smoothest, healthiest finish. Again, make sure the powder matches your skintone well and doesn't look too cakey or obvious.

Step 3-- Blush. Using a natural colored blush (and a powder brush if possible), smile and apply blush on the apples of your cheeks. Keep it light and simple. Too much contrast will make you look like a clown (literally).

Step 4-- Eyes. Apply one layer of mascara. Do not add another layer, or else your lashes will help up heavy, clumpy, and too thick. If you want, apply mascara and/or eyeshadow. Make sure you know how to compliment your eye's shape and create a professional look. If you don't, don't bother trying.

Step 5-- Lips. I prefer lip gloss, but you can use whatever you want. Application is simple. You don't need to be super precise with liners or anything like that. Just apply your lipstick or lipgloss and you're done! Make sure you get a natural color that compliments your skintone and undertone.

STEP ONE :FACE

To begin with, you need to have a clean face. An artist doesn't paint on a dirty canvas, and neither should you!

Wash face and neck thoroughly

Apply a water-based moisturizer

STEP TWO: CONCEALER AND BASE

If there are any blemishes that need to be covered, begin with a concealer.

Use a yellow-based concealer to match your complexion without adding unnecessary color

Dab on all locations that you wish to cover. Gently rub in, but do not rub off

After that is complete, you are ready to apply a base foundation.

Choose a color that matches really closely to your actual skin tone

Test the foundation to make sure the color blends nicely

The right foundation will seem to ';disappear'; on your face

Cover entire face, blending into the neck

STEP THREE:CHEEK COLOR

Color is used to accentuate features.

Make sure to use a darker shade to lift your cheekbones

Apply from the earlobe down towards the cheek. This prevents leaving a blob of color in the middle of your cheek!

Using a coppery color will accentuate the darker skinned, while a peach or pale pink works nicely with more fair skin. Lighter colors can be used to highlight as well, following the same pattern.

STEP FOUR: EYES

To apply eye make-up, it works best to have two or three shades of one color.

Apply the lightest shade to the entire eyelid

The middle shade is applied to the lower part of the eyelid, closest to the lashes

The darkest shade is applied to the corners of the eyes to create a sense of depth

Eyeliner is used to blend the color into the lashes

Start in the middle of the eyelid, moving out toward the corners

Make sure to blend it into the eyelid

It can be covered with a small amount of lighter eye shadow to make it less dramatic

Mascara should be last

If you have fair skin, lighter mascara, like brown, would be less dramatic and more natural

Apply two coats and wait for it to dry

STEP FIVE: LIPS

There are numerous combinations to use when applying lipstick. Lip liner does not necessarily need to be used, but it helps to bring out the color and shape of your lips.

If lip liner is used, make sure that the lip liner and lipstick blend nicely

Start lining from the inside and move out towards the edges

Then, taking a lip brush, apply the color

Using a brush allows more even coverage and helps control the amount of color applied

Finishing off with a shine gloss gives lips that ';kiss me'; glow!

Finished Product!

Make-up takes time to perfect. Practice is the best way to achieve the look that you want. Spend a little time in front of the mirror everyday. Soon you will find the look that is right for you and you will find that you ARE beautiful ...inside and out!
