What are the correct tools used for applying makeup?

I would appreciate it if makeup artists could answer this one and perhaps provide pictures of their tools and state what each is used for. Thanks : ).What are the correct tools used for applying makeup?
it all depends on what makeup your using but heres some quick refrences:





for liquid or cream foundation : a foundation brush (synthetic brush) or wedge sponge.





for powder: a larger natural brush with a very full head





for eyeshadow all over lid: a natural brush with longer fuller head





for crease shadow: a tapered brush head (usually has a longer handle)





for blush: you can use a medium rounded head or they have angled heads to make it easy to follow the contours of your cheekbones.





and if all else fails...sometimes your fingers are the BEST tools!!!
