Is there some kind of trick to applying mineral makeup?

I bought the Psysicians Formula mineral makeup yesterday, and I don't like it at all. Maybe I'm just doing it wrong. It says to apply lightly with the brush, but when I do that it doesn't give me any coverage at all. All I want is to even out my skin tone, but it doesn't look good at all. Is there some kind of trick to applying it?Is there some kind of trick to applying mineral makeup?
It says to apply lightly because you dont need a whole bunch of it. However, the more coverage you want, the harder you have to put it on, if that makes sense. Is there some kind of trick to applying mineral makeup?
That's why I use Bee-Luscious. It is Liquid Powder Minerals. It is way easier and less messy than the powders. It also has no bismuth.
apply with a foundation brush all over and under your eyes etc apply some more with your finger. if u are looking for a full foundation affect i would choose a mousse foundation they are thicker and seem to last longer.also to hold colour stay apply a natural powder overtop.
Try purity cosmetics. It is really good!

The trick is not to put on to much. You have to give it some time to penetrate through the skin so that it could blend in with your skin color. You also might want to add on some bronze and a bit of blush.
I suggest buying a brush from Bare minerals, maybe sheercover...they'll give you the coverage you want.
