Is it necessary to apply moisturizer and a primer before applying makeup?

I have oily/dry skin, i found a website with all these steps to follow before actually applying makeup....

Now is all of this really necessary? Or will I be okay with just purchasing a good primer? Is it necessary to apply moisturizer and a primer before applying makeup?
You don't necessarily need to follow all these preliminary steps before you apply your makeup. People generally recommend using a moisturizer, especially for normal to dry skin, but some oily skin types don't need the extra moisture. If you think a moisturizer makes your face too oily, then skip out on it, or apply it just to areas that are dry.

A primer isn't necessary either, but it will make your foundation more long-wearing, which can save you the effort of reapplying or touching up throughout the day.Is it necessary to apply moisturizer and a primer before applying makeup?
I will moisturized face is the first step to a healthy complexion and acne free face.

You don't have to apply anything you don't want to by moisturizer is far more important than primer although I recommend both.
Well it is definitely recommended. Moisturizing your face beforehand is good for your face (especially with people with dry skin) and it gives the makeup a better pallet to go on and blend with. If you do decide to use a moisturizer, try getting one with SPF since it's always good to have a little bit of that on your face : ) And then primer for your foundation is important to use because you always want your makeup to stay on, right? There are also some foundation primers that help with oily skin so if you use both it is a win win. If you are worried about your face breaking out, just make sure to cleanse your face at night.
