What is the best way to apply eyeshadow that has 3 colors, light, medium and dark? I have blue eyes and I want them to pop when I meet people? Any other makeup tips will be good too.Applying makeup?
Medium color goes all over your eyelid, but especially at the bottom of the lid. Dark goes in the crease and just a tad above the crease, and the lightest one should be to highlight your brow bone and a bit on the inner corner (where the tear duct is). Make sure you blend it all really well:o)Applying makeup?
You're welcome! you don't need anything special to blend, just use your finger or your eyeshadow brush to sorta just...i dunno...go back over all your eyeshadow (without applying anymore to the brush) so it all sorta mixes at the lines and doesn't look drawn on. Report Abuse
Darkest goes nearest to your eyelashes. Then medium goes over the whole of your lid then the lightest just above that. But just make sure you blend!!
Katie knows her stuff...light for the brows...dark is always at the lowest point...so yeah...katie has it girl.....

Fade out, dark, medium, light. Mix them with a tissue.
The steps I use to apply my eyeshadow are:
1) I apply a very thin line of the darkest shadow (usually black/gray), over my eye liner, on the outer edge of my upper eye and bottom eye (but not too much).... This makes my eyes pop and make my eyelashes look fuller
2) In the crease of my upper eyelid I apply a dark brown, following the inside crease and getting darker towards the outside of my eyelid.
3) From the crease and up to my eyebrow I fade the dark brown shadow, from top to bottom and from left to right
4) Right under my eyebrow I apply a thin line of the lightest eye shadow
Everyone's eyes are different, so my way of applying eye shadow may not work for you, but here's a website that shows the right way to apply eyeshadow for every eye shape:
