Wetting makeup brushes then using it on pigments before applying makeup?

I just want to know the difference between wetting your makeup brushes with water? or not wetting your brush when you apply makeup. I see people on youtube damping there makeup brushes in water before they put their pigments on, and i'm like WTF? what is the diffence between them? do they make it stay longer or what?Wetting makeup brushes then using it on pigments before applying makeup?
By wetting the brush or applicator it helps the make up go on better, look dark.more intense and makes it stay on long.

Some eyeshadow looks and goes on better without water, so if you do decided to you water just test a little on the back of your hand and see if you like the color and texture

I usually use water and my eyeshadow lasts all day rather then rubbing off or having the color fade.Wetting makeup brushes then using it on pigments before applying makeup?
i think it makes ur makeup more messed up and harder to apply.. thats my opinion .. the best way before applying ur makeup use a moistrizer, and u can use fluid foundation (yet not alot too much), here ur creating a base, if u want ur makeup to last longer well get something with good quality .. atleast it will last more and longer ..

*make sure u use the right brush/quality brush
when the brush is dampened; the pigment goes on smoother; like liquidmetal

if it's dry, the pigment goes on powdery.

but I don't think they went them with water, they probably use a mixing medium or visine. :/

hope I helped
Wetting make up utensils won't really make makeup stay on longer...It just makes eye shadow a different color. Ex- paler or intense.
It just makes the color more intense because more of the product sticks to the brush.

:)
it makes the color more intense, brighter and last longer
