I don't know much about applying eye makeup, can you help me?

Is it okay to just use one shade of eye shadow? Where do I stop the application of it, the crease or above it? Do you put eyeliner from one corner of eye to the other or start applying it somewhere else? Do eyelash curlers really do much? I know it sounds silly, but I usually only wear mascara and I could use any help if you can. Thanks!I don't know much about applying eye makeup, can you help me?
It really depends on what look you are going for. It is okay to use one shade of eyeshadow, just up to the crease. That is how most people do wear eyeshadow. If you're going for a more complicated look, or are applying a makeup style for a certain occasion, you may want to use multiple eyeshadow colors for depth. Eyeshadow can go above the crease, if you want it to. Some even apply it all the way up to the brow bone. It all depends on what you're going for. For school, a simple single colored eyeshadow will probably do.

The same thing goes for eyeliner. Usually, it's applied from one corner to the other. Depending on the style, (Cat eyes or smokey eyes) eyeliner can be angled upward, going beyond the eye corner. You really don't have to use a eyelash curler. It does give your lashes more of a curve, yet it's not necessary.

the great thing about makeup is you can pretty much do it however you want, you just gotta get the hang of perfecting it. sometimes i wear one eyeshadow and sometimes i wear 4. i put the lightest/brightest right above the eyelashes, the darkest on the crease to create a dramatic shadow effect. a color between those two on the majority of my lid above the crease. and i use a really pale cream under my brows to make them stand out.

if you have smaller eyes you should only put eyeliner on the outer corners of your eyes, i use a pencil and a black powder on the corners to make my eyes pop and look bigger. if you have bigger eyes or are content with their size then you can line the entire top and bottom. again its really personal preference.

i dont use a curler, but most people dont know that you need to heat up a metal eyelash curler with a blowdryer or hot water before you use it. plastic ones do not work!

be sure to start using mascara from the inside and keep stroking it from the roots to the end, and work your way to the outer eye. if you like more than one coat be sure to do it before the first coat dries or you will regret it!

i hope this helped :] theres lot of tutorials on youtube im sure, good luck! just play with it in your spare time, thats how i figured out whats best on me!
Wearing one shade of eye shadow is a very natural look, you just apply it to your eye lid- I don't like shadow to the brow line, maybe a light color to highlight your eye brows, on eyeliner I start on the outer and work in towards my nose, I then apply matching eye shadow to the eye liner to set it and it will then last all day- I do use a curling iron, pumping the lashes 3 or 4 times, then take the tip of your mascara and go across the tips of your lashes with the wand, the apply to the lashes up and down, this will make them longer and thicker- for more make tips go to you tube and write in make up, eye liner (whatever) Good luck and remember less is more- you want to be naturally pretty not a clown!
well the other day my lovely little mommy showed me how to apply it (:

so here we go.

Yes it is fine to use one shade of eyeshadow, most people do.

Usually you stop applying eyeshadow at the crease but i think if you apply more eyeshadow above the crease it looks prettier. just an opinion. Eyelash curlers don't do much for me but maybe they could work for you, who knows? We all have different lashes. Uh...%26amp; apply the eyeliner from the middle of your top eyelash line to the outer part of your eye %26amp; then to the inner. I don't know if this helped, just thought i'd answer your questions .

have a nice day!

=)
I have brown eyes and i was told purple is the color to make brown eyes pop!!

I apply a white type colored powder in the corner of eyes! the corner closest to my nose, then a dark purple liner lightly on the bottom half, and real heavy on the top half! then with a q-tip i smug the top line onto my eye lid more! then i use a lighter purple on my lid to the crease! then i smug a little brown shadow in my crease....then mascara!

but i also found this annoying but helpful vid on youtube!
