Has anyone ever used paint brushes for applying makeup?

Yup! I got an awesome 10-pack of Loews %26amp; Cornell ones from Michaels. Make sure to test the brushes with your hands to make sure they feel soft. I got nylon (ie synthetic) ones b/c they don't absorb the makeup 1st, which makes applying better!

The brushes will be a bit stiff at first, but just play with them and work it back %26amp; forth and you'll break that stiffness! After that they'll be lovely and soft.

I recommend you check out the MAC site below, which has a plethora of makeup brushes, so you can get an idea of what shapes of brushes do what.Has anyone ever used paint brushes for applying makeup?
no i haven't...i've only used makeup brushes because eyelids are very delicate and you don't want to scratch them if the paintbrush is too coarse.Has anyone ever used paint brushes for applying makeup?
Its not a bad idea. Just as long as you arent using some brush from a Crayola watercolors palette. If you go to AC Moore and look at the brush selections, there are some really really nice soft animal hair brushes that would be perfect for eyeshadow. Also they are cheaper than makeup stores.
Honestly, No..

but I'd assume you would ge tthe same results

BUt paint brushers tend to be harder bristled, so be careful.
No...I can't imagine using them since their texture is a bit harsh for my eye area.
no... have you?
No, and dont do it.

it will ruin your eyeshadow by leaving scratches in it and it will scratch your eyes.
never.
I use makeup brushes, not paint brushes. They are the best way to apply concealer.
Yes!! The really soft brown ones that are some kind of real animal hair!! I actually bought a package of some that come in different sizes (like tiny ones useful for eyeliner and shadow, and bigger ones for blush) it was SO much cheaper than even buying one professional Sephora brush (sorry Sephora I still love you!!) lol.
